Feel its pretty rough to drop him for Stokes. Unretiring is all lovely, etc but he's not actually fit really with that knee. Brook got a ton at the IPL so knows India....

Its a tough world, and Brook has demonstrated time and time again that he has the skills and the character and should be selected.
If Stokes is the person dropped, he will understand and frankly (since I will be there) I would rather see him rested and fit in Hyderabad!

You'll be over there for the world Cup? That's awesome. A tour or sorted it yourself?

Harry Brook is outstanding and should be automatic.
Was the choice between Roy, Malan and Brook.
Stokes can only play as a batsman. Hence can't leave out one of the bowlers.

No going to the first test in Hyderabad and then 3 week’s traveling south west ending in Kerala.

You will enjoy Kerala, Cochin has several very good hotels, particularly the Old Harbour Hotel and if you can spend a day or two on a tea plantation you will find it a rewarding experience

Unless he is practising spin in secret.

We are staying at the Eight Bastion in Cochin, but we are staying on a tea plantation in Ooty. I had to go to Kerela on business a few years ago, and tacked on a couple of day's holiday, but wanted to go back to see the place properly (and take the wife!). The test series is the excuse (in January we used the first test to go to NZ for 5 weeks!), so after Hyderabad we fly to Bangalore and then straight to Mysore to see the palace, and onward to Kerela.
Anyone else coming to the first test, there were about 5-6 MCC members we met at the Bay Oval.

Have you bought match tickets in advance?

Just checked. England are playing in some fairly remote places! Quite a shame
